NEW YORK, March 27 (Xinhua) — The U.S. dollar weakened in late buying and selling on Monday as market contributors assessed the current stress within the monetary system.
The dollar index, which measures the dollar in opposition to six main friends, fell 0.26 p.c to 102.8484.
In late New York buying and selling, the euro rose to 1.0796 U.S. {dollars} from 1.0760 {dollars} within the earlier session, and the British pound elevated to 1.2289 U.S. {dollars} from 1.2227 {dollars} within the earlier session.
The U.S. dollar purchased 131.57 Japanese yen, increased than 130.76 Japanese yen of the earlier session. The U.S. dollar fell to 0.9157 Swiss francs from 0.9197 Swiss francs, and it decreased to 1.3650 Canadian {dollars} from 1.3741 Canadian {dollars}. The U.S. dollar was all the way down to 10.3774 Swedish Kronor from 10.4269 Swedish Kronor.
