Tonnes of lifeless sardines and mackerel had been lately found on Hamamachi seaside in Hakodate, northern Japan, native media reported.

Ealier this month on December 7, an estimated 1,000 tonnes of sardines and mackerel had been discovered floating on the floor of the ocean off the fishing port of Hakodate in Hokkaido, forming a silver blanket stretching for greater than a kilometer.
