The physique of a person, believed to have been killed by a bear within the forests of Kazuno City, Akita Prefecture, has been recognized as a lacking man from Aomori Prefecture.

According to the police, the person has been recognized as Hiroshi Sato, 64, from Aomori Prefecture.

Sato entered the mountains on May 15 to gather bamboo shoots and was subsequently reported lacking.

Sato’s physique had scratches on the pinnacle, believed to be attributable to an animal, and chunk marks throughout his physique.

The police plan to conduct an post-mortem on Sato’s physique on May 23 to find out the reason for loss of life.

On May 18, two law enforcement officials trying to retrieve Sato’s physique had been attacked by a bear, leading to critical accidents.
