Two South Korean nationals, Sangmyung Lee (47) and his youthful brother Chungmyung Lee (45), have been arrested following a harmful incident within the Presidential Suite of the posh Grand Hyatt Tokyo in Roppongi.
The incident occurred in January 2022, when the brothers checked into the suite, priced at 1 million yen per evening, claiming they’d be staying with 5 members of the family. However, a complete of 21 folks, together with mates and kinfolk, gathered within the suite, participating in loud and disruptive habits.
The noise prompted complaints from different company, and when resort employees tried to handle the state of affairs, Sangmyung allegedly responded with threats, saying, “I’ll kill you!” and grabbing an worker’s arm, reportedly obstructing resort operations.
The brothers remained within the suite for a further 12 hours, throughout which they’re accused of inflicting injury to furnishings valued at roughly 1 million yen.
During questioning, Sangmyung admitted to the fees, stating, “I was furious when told to leave immediately.” In distinction, his brother Chungmyung denied involvement, stating, “I may have raised my voice, but I didn’t yell or grab anyone.”
Due to the injury, the suite remained unusable for a complete of 13 days.
