Polish Man Falls on Mount Fuji During Off-Season Climb

SHIZUOKA, Apr 07 (News On Japan) –
A 31-year-old Polish man was rescued by helicopter after falling close to the New Seventh Station of Mount Fuji at round 11 a.m. on April sixth throughout an low season solo climb, after calling emergency companies to report that he believed he had damaged his leg.

According to police, the caller was the injured man himself, who had been climbing alone and is believed to have fallen roughly 200 meters.

Rescue groups, together with the Shizuoka Prefectural Police mountain rescue unit, have been dispatched to the scene, and the person was airlifted by a prefectural catastrophe prevention helicopter about two hours after the decision.

Although the person sustained accidents, he remained aware and isn’t in life-threatening situation.
