PM Modi to go to Japan, Papua New Guinea and Australia; attend G7 assembly, Quad Summit

New Delhi [India], May 16 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a three-nation tour throughout which he’ll participate in G-7 Summit in Japan and the Quad Leaders’ Summit in Australia.

The Prime Minister will go to Hiroshima in Japan from May 19 to 21 for the G-7 Summit below the Japanese Presidency. He is visiting Japan on the invitation of Japan Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.

During the Summit, Prime Minister will communicate at G-7 classes with associate nations on topics corresponding to peace, stability and prosperity of a sustainable planet; meals, fertiliser and power safety; well being; gender equality; local weather change and surroundings; resilient infrastructure; and growth cooperation.

The Prime Minister may even maintain bilateral conferences with a number of the collaborating leaders on the sidelines of the Summit.

From Japan, the Prime Minister will journey to Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, the place he’ll host the third Summit of the Forum for India-Pacific Islands Cooperation (FIPIC III Summit) collectively with Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea James Marape on May 22.

This would be the first go to by an Indian Prime Minister to Papua New Guinea.

Launched in 2014, FIPIC includes India and 14 Pacific Island Countries (PICs) – Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Tonga, Tuvalu, Kiribati, Samoa, Vanuatu, Niue, Federated States of Micronesia, Republic of Marshall Islands, Cook Islands, Palau, Nauru and Solomon Islands.

A Ministry of External Affairs launch stated that Prime Minister Modi can have bilateral engagements in Papua New Guinea, together with conferences with Governor-General Sir Bob Dadae and Prime Minister James Marape.

PM Modi will go to Sydney from May 22 to 24 to take part within the Quad Leaders’ Summit, together with US President Joe Biden, the Japanese Prime Minister and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

The launch stated the Summit offers a chance for the Leaders to alternate views about developments within the Indo-Pacific area and advance their imaginative and prescient for a free, open and inclusive Indo-Pacific.

PM Modi can have a bilateral assembly with Prime Minister Albanese on May 24. Prime Minister may even work together with Australian CEOs and enterprise leaders, and deal with the Indian diaspora at a neighborhood occasion in Sydney on May 23. (ANI)
