Osaka District Court orders compensation to nationwide authorities over Minamata illness reduction requirements | NHK

In a lawsuit, greater than 120 folks from Kumamoto and Kagoshima, who weren’t acknowledged as having Minamata illness and weren’t eligible for reduction measures, sought compensation from the nationwide authorities, Kumamoto prefecture, and Chisso, the corporate that brought on the illness. The Osaka District Court handed down a judgment ordering the nationwide authorities to pay compensation.
