HOKKAIDO, Feb 06 (News On Japan) –
A pod of orcas was discovered trapped in ice floes Tuesday morning. At round 7:00 AM, a sightseeing boat firm in Rausu Town, Hokkaido, contacted the native authorities workplace saying, “There are killer whales surrounded by drift ice and cannot move.”
According to the one who took the photograph, there are about 10 orcas caught. The native authorities stated, “We are considering countermeasures, but we have no choice but to wait until the drift ice collapses and it becomes possible to swim.”
