A subcommittee of consultants from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has agreed to approve the “oral abortion drug,” which is used to induce abortion with medication, for the primary time in Japan. In the long run, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare is predicted to hold out formal approval procedures.
