Meta, the U.S.-based tech big, introduced on January twenty first that it has applied new restrictions for teenage customers on its photo-sharing app Instagram in Japan.
The measures, geared toward addressing considerations over destructive impacts on younger customers, had been first launched within the U.S. and the U.Okay. in September final 12 months.
Domestic customers aged 13 to 17 will likely be mechanically transitioned to a “Teen Account,” which limits the visibility of inappropriate posts and blocks direct messages from unknown customers.
