KUMAMOTO (TR) – Kumamoto Prefectural Police launched an investigation after a rubbish collector was hit and killed by a rubbish truck in Kumamoto City on Monday, reviews Nippon News Network (Jan. 12).
According to police, Koichi Wada, 63, was gathering rubbish along with his 71-year-old male colleague early Monday. It is believed that the colleague backed the truck as much as transfer to a different location and struck Wada.
Wada was taken to hospital however was later pronounced lifeless, police stated.
When questioned by police, the colleague stated, “I felt like I’d run over something, but I thought it was a curb.”
Police are at the moment investigating the main points of the accident.
