TOKYO, Oct 25 (News On Japan) –

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred round 2:30 p.m., when officers stationed close to the embassy acquired a report that “a man with knives” was appearing suspiciously.

When officers approached the person, believed to be in his 30s, for questioning, he immediately took a kitchen knife and a fruit knife from his backpack, brandished them with each arms, and superior towards the officers.

As the riot police tried to restrain him, the person resisted violently, injuring a 26-year-old officer on the precise ankle. The officer’s damage was not life-threatening.
