Japan wins first gold medal as 2020 host

Japan’s Naohisa Takato hs gained the primary gold medal for the host nation, beating Taiwan’s Yang Yung-wei within the closing of the boys’s 60 kg judo. Takato, a bronze medalist on the Rio Games in 2016, cried after his victory in an empty Nippon Budokan, the legendary martial arts and live performance corridor.
