Japan Post has introduced its first value enhance in practically 30 years, set to take impact this fall, unveiling new stamps and postcards.

The value of postcards will rise from the present 63 yen to 85 yen per piece, whereas commonplace letters weighing as much as 25 grams will enhance from 84 yen to 110 yen.

Excluding changes for consumption tax hikes, this complete postal price enhance marks the primary since 1994.

The decline in postal mail quantity, pushed by the development of digital communication, is a key issue behind this determination.

Japan Post’s postal enterprise has confronted ongoing monetary challenges, with rising transportation prices resulting in the primary post-privatization deficit within the fiscal 12 months 2022.
