“Go to nearby temples, offer prayers…”: Haryana CM after Govt denies permission for Brij Mandal Yatra

Chandigarh (Haryana) [India], August 27 (ANI): After the Haryana authorities denied permission for the Brij Mandal Yatra known as by Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) in Nuh, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday stated that individuals can go to close by temples and supply prayers as it’s the month of’Sawan’.

Haryana authorities authorities have denied permission for the Yatra and have imposed part 144 within the district citing apprehensions of disturbance of regulation and order expressed by native police in addition to intelligence companies.

“Looking at the kind of incident that happened there (Nuh) at the beginning of the month, it is the government’s duty to ensure that law and order in the area is maintained. Our police and administration have taken this decision that instead of carrying out a yatra (Braj Mandal Shobha Yatra), people should go to nearby temples and offer prayers. Permission for yatra is denied but people can go and offer prayers in nearby temples as it is Sawan month,” CM Khattar informed reporters at present.

He additional stated that respecting the individuals’s religion, permission will likely be given for ‘Jalabhishek’ within the temples.

“Everyone can perform Jalabhishek in their respective local temples as it is Sawan. Due to the incidents that took place in Nuh in the past, permission has not been given to travel to maintain law and order,” he added.

The Manohar Lal Khattar-led Haryana authorities on Saturday stated that no permission has been granted to carry Braj Mandal Shobha Yatra in Nuh including that part 144 has been imposed within the district.

Addressing the media, Nuh Deputy Commissioner Dhirendra Khadgata stated, “We have denied the permission for yatra (Braj Mandal Shobha Yatra). Still, some have stated they are going to conduct the yatra. We have imposed Section 144.

“Haryana Police on Saturday said that the internet services have been suspended in Nuh district till August 28.”As a safety measure, web providers have been suspended in Nuh from 12 midday on August 26 upto 11:59 pm on August 28,” an official assertion stated.

However, Vishwa Hindu Parishad stated that they are going to deliver out a Braj Mandal Jal Abhishek Yatra on August 28 in Nuh. (ANI)
