TOKYO, Jul 19 (News On Japan) –
Japan’s Environment Ministry on July nineteenth transported soil generated throughout decontamination efforts in Fukushima Prefecture—following the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear catastrophe—to the entrance backyard of the Prime Minister’s Office in Tokyo’s Nagatacho district.
The soil, which had been saved at an interim storage facility within the cities of Okuma and Futaba, is being reused as a part of an effort to foster public understanding concerning the security of decontaminated materials.
