A uncommon sawtooth stag beetle that has each female and male traits was found by elementary faculty brothers in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture, and was opened to the general public on the Prefectural Gunma Insect Forest in Kiryu City. Gunma Insect Forest says, “There are very few cases of discovery in the field, maybe once every few years.”
This sawtooth stag beetle is about 4 centimeters lengthy and known as a “gynandromorphic type”.
