The Osaka District Court handed down a responsible verdict on Monday, with a suspended sentence, to a health care provider accused of leaving a catheter wire inside a affected person, which subsequently penetrated the center and led to the affected person’s demise.
In 2017, Dr. Shinkichi Kamata (76) performed a catheter insertion surgical procedure at a hospital in Neyagawa City, Osaka Prefecture. He left a wire contained in the physique of Hiroshi Suzuki (then 69) with out performing correct follow-up procedures, which led to the wire piercing Suzuki’s coronary heart and inflicting his demise.
