SHANGHAI, June 18 (Xinhua) — China’s index of export container transport rose within the week ending on June 16, in response to the Shanghai Shipping Exchange.
The common China Containerized Freight Index (CCFI) went up 0.6 % from the earlier week to 926.63, the transport trade mentioned.
The sub-index for the West East Africa service registered a rise of three.2 % week on week.
Bucking the pattern, the sub-reading for the Japan service fell by 1.7 % from every week earlier.
The CCFI tracks spot and contractual freight charges from Chinese container ports for 12 transport routes throughout the globe, primarily based on information from 22 worldwide carriers.
The index was set at 1,000 on Jan. 1, 1998.
