A brand new manhole cowl that includes the nationally widespread cartoon “Chibi Maruko-chan” strolling alongside the outdated Tokaido highway has been launched, and the primary one was put in in Shizuoka City.

A commemorative ceremony was held close to Sumpu Castle Park in Aoi Ward, Shizuoka City, and a lid designed with the principle character Maruko and his grandfather Tomozo strolling on the outdated Tokaido with Mt. Fuji within the background was unveiled.
