On the evening of the twenty sixth, at Unit 5 of the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station in Niigata Prefecture, a considerable amount of water leaked indoors as a result of opening of a seawater piping valve to chill the emergency generator. According to Tokyo Electric Power Company, the leaked water doesn’t comprise radioactive substances and has no impression on the surface.
