OSAKA (TR) – Osaka Prefectural Police have arrested three Chinese nationals on suspicion of possessing a large haul of counterfeit luxurious items supposed on the market on-line, stories Kansai TV (Oct. 15).
Arrested on suspicion of violating the Trademark Act was 40-year-old Tokyo resident Ling Yi, alongside one other man and a girl. In July, the trio allegedly possessed roughly 200 knockoff objects, primarily faux Louis Vuitton luggage, with the intent to promote them.
According to investigators, the illicit operation concerned receiving shipments of phony brand-name items immediately from China. The suspects would then peddle the merchandise on on-line flea market apps, packaging and transport the counterfeits to patrons throughout the nation.
During police questioning, Ling totally admitted to the allegations. However, the opposite two suspects are denying the costs, trying to say ignorance by telling police they “did not clearly know” the baggage had been fakes.
