New Delhi [India], September 20 (ANI): Vice President CP Radhakrishnan will inaugurate the ninth India International Water Week 2026 on September 22 within the nationwide capital.
It is being organized by Ministry of Jal Shakti in collaboration with key Central Ministries, State Governments, worldwide organisations, analysis and educational establishments, business our bodies, growth companions, civil society and personal sector companions.
The five-day worldwide occasion will present a multidisciplinary platform bringing collectively policymakers, world water leaders, specialists, researchers, practitioners, business, civil society and younger professionals for dialogue, information change, innovation and partnerships in direction of addressing rising water challenges and advancing a water-secure and climate-resilient future, a launch stated.
It stated that Netherlands and Germany will take part as Partner Countries, alongside Ministers, policymakers, world water leaders, worldwide organisations, specialists, researchers, practitioners, business representatives, civil society, start-ups, youth and different stakeholders from India and overseas, enriching worldwide cooperation and change of worldwide expertise in water administration.
Fourteen states will take part as companion states, whereas six Central Ministries and Departments have been invited to take part as Partner Ministries and Departments, strengthening Centre State collaboration and cross sectoral convergence for local weather resilient water administration.
The programme will function Ministerial Plenary, Global Water Leaders’ Plenaries, Country Forums, Water Leaders’ Forums, Practitioners’ Forums, Thematic Forums, Startup Forum, Youth Forum, Industrial Forum and Side Events, facilitating dialogue throughout coverage, know-how, analysis and implementation.
Deliberations will cowl inclusive and equitable water governance; collaboration for optimum use of water assets; know-how and group for water safety; water in climate-related danger; progressive financing fashions for water infrastructure and modernisation; sustainable water assets administration; and water for folks and planet.
A four-day worldwide exhibition from 22-25 September 2026 will present a platform for showcasing progressive applied sciences, merchandise and options for sustainable and climate-resilient water administration.
The Second International WASH Conference 2026, being organised by the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation from September 22-24, will give attention to consuming water entry, sanitation infrastructure, hygiene behaviour and public well being, with emphasis on scalable, reasonably priced and sustainable options.
The launch stated IIWW-2026 will search to translate information and dialogue into actionable suggestions, partnerships and scalable options, bringing collectively coverage, financing, know-how and group participation to strengthen water safety and local weather resilience.
The launch stated that India International Water Week has emerged as an essential platform for bringing collectively numerous stakeholders from India and internationally to change experiences, showcase improvements and strengthen cooperation within the water sector.
IIWW-2026 will place local weather resilience on the centre of the water discourse, with emphasis on shifting from dialogue to sensible, collaborative and implementable options for sustainable water administration, the discharge stated. (ANI)
