Fire Engulfs Warehouse at Fishing Port in Hokkaido

A hearth that broke out in grassland at a fishing port in Tomamae, northern Hokkaido, unfold to an adjoining warehouse and workshop on August 15, burning for about six hours earlier than being introduced beneath management.

Firefighters obtained a report at round 10:30 a.m. on August 15 that grass was burning at Tomamae Fishing Port and that the flames appeared prone to unfold to a close-by warehouse.

Flames and thick smoke have been seen pouring from the constructing as the hearth intensified.

The blaze continued for about six hours, burning grassland inside the fishing port in addition to one constructing used as each a warehouse and a workshop.

No accidents have been reported.

Police mentioned a range was situated contained in the workshop. Police and firefighters are investigating the reason for the hearth.
