TOKYO –
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed diplomatic officers on August 3 to strengthen relations with Japan, expressing disappointment with the outcomes achieved to date and elevating hypothesis that Kyiv is searching for Japanese weapons provides.
“There have been significant political changes in Japan, and we had considerable expectations, but so far the results have not been that great,” Zelenskyy mentioned.
He didn’t specify what outcomes he was referring to. However, the directive is believed to replicate Ukraine’s curiosity in securing weapons from Japan following the Japanese authorities’s resolution to ease restrictions on arms exports.
