Himachal CM Sukhu orders takeover of Sunni, Luhri, and Dhaulasidh hydro tasks from SJVNL

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], July 2 (ANI): In a major transfer to reclaim management over the state’s pure belongings, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has directed authorities to provoke the takeover of three main hydroelectric tasks from the Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited (SJVNL).

While chairing a high-level assembly of the Power division right here on Thursday night, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu directed the officers to provoke the method for taking on the 382 MW Sunni, 210 MW Luhri Stage-I and 66 MW Dhaulasidh hydroelectric tasks, which have been beforehand allotted to SJVNL.

The Chief Minister stated that hydropower was the spine of Himachal Pradesh’s economic system and the State Government was dedicated to making sure that the advantages from the State’s wealthy hydropower sources accrue to its individuals.

CM Suhku directed the officers to renegotiate the phrases and circumstances of the five hundred MW Duggar hydroelectric venture being developed by NHPC, as the corporate has proposed rising the peak of the dam. He stated that the state authorities would be sure that Himachal Pradesh receives acceptable advantages commensurate with the revised venture parameters.

The Chief Minister additionally highlighted that the state authorities had resolved the eight-year-long impasse over the 422 MW Kishau dam venture. He stated that underneath the revised association, Himachal Pradesh wouldn’t be required to make any capital funding whereas securing 211 MW of free energy from this venture, which was anticipated to generate practically Rs 600 crore in annual income for the state.
