Osaka Mayor Hideyuki Yokoyama introduced that the town will develop its coverage of creating childcare charges free for youngsters aged zero to 2, with the measure to be prolonged to firstborn youngsters beginning in September this 12 months.
At current, Osaka supplies free childcare for second and subsequent youngsters aged zero to 2 attending approved childcare services, no matter family earnings.
Speaking at a press convention on February ninth, Yokoyama mentioned the town will newly embrace firstborn youngsters within the free childcare program from September.
Yokoyama mentioned: “We want to do whatever we can to curb the declining birthrate and ensure children have equal opportunities to take on challenges. Osaka will continue to pursue thorough investment in its children.”
In addition, households who care for youngsters aged zero to 2 at residence will obtain coupons value 100,000 yen per 12 months per little one, which can be utilized to buy gadgets resembling diapers and milk.
