TOKYO, Sep 17 (News On Japan) –
A big gap immediately appeared in the midst of a highway close to a practice station in Tokyo’s Ota Ward on Tuesday, with growing older sewer pipes suspected because the perpetrator.
Shortly after 3 p.m., a name was made to 110 reporting that the highway close to Musashi-Nitta Station on the Tokyu Tamagawa Line had collapsed.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the outlet on the ward’s highway measures about 1 meter in diameter and is greater than 30 centimeters deep. Fortunately, nobody was injured.
Ota Ward officers advised that growing older sewer pipes stands out as the trigger, and restoration work is at present underway.
