A person arrested for allegedly stealing a pure gold tea bowl priced at round 10 million yen ($65,000) has instructed police he “thought of drinking tea” with the bowl, an investigative supply mentioned Sunday.
Masaru Horie, 32, who was arrested Saturday, mentioned he first thought he might use the bowl stolen from a serious Tokyo division retailer as a vessel to drink tea from however finally determined that “it was better to sell it for cash.”
He offered the bowl for round 1.8 million yen at a store in Tokyo that buys items from prospects, police mentioned, including that they’re looking for the bowl as it’s not on the store and is believed to have been resold.
