Shiretoko sightseeing boat accident: President of working firm indicted for failure to subject contracts with crew members | NHK

Seiichi Katsurada, the president of the corporate that operated the sightseeing boat that sank off the coast of the Shiretoko Peninsula in Hokkaido, was charged with violating the Seafarers Act for not issuing the required employment contracts to sailors within the 12 months earlier than the shipwreck. He was summarily indicted on the fifteenth for the crime.
