Goalkeeper Eiji Kawashima Returns to J-League After 14 Years

Jubilo Iwata has introduced the signing of former Japan nationwide crew goalkeeper Eiji Kawashima, who has been chosen for the nationwide crew in 4 consecutive World Cups, marking his return to J.League since 2010.

Kawashima, a 40-year-old from Saitama City, is thought for his excessive defensive potential and correct predictions in stopping pictures. He has performed in 95 matches for the Japan nationwide crew and chosen for 4 consecutive World Cups, together with the latest one in Qatar.

After transferring from Kawasaki Frontale to Lierse within the Belgian first division in 2010, he performed in Scotland and different places, and was a part of Strasbourg within the French first division final season.
