A crash involving a South Metro Fire Rescue ambulance in west Aurora despatched one individual to the hospital on Sunday, Aurora police stated.
The crash occurred shortly after 4 p.m., close to the intersection of South Havana Street and East Jewell Avenue, South Metro Fire Rescue officers stated.
Paramedics took one civilian to the hospital with minor accidents, Aurora Police Department spokesperson Matthew Longshore stated. South Metro Fire Rescue initially reported that two individuals have been taken to the hospital.
No firefighters have been injured within the crash, South Metro officers stated.
A automobile ran a crimson gentle on the crash intersection and crashed into one other automobile, Longshore stated. One of these two automobiles then struck the South Metro Fire Rescue ambulance.
“The ambulance was returning to their station and did not have any patients in the back,” Longshore stated.
While ready for medical personnel to reach, the South Metro Fire Rescue crew evaluated and handled two of the individuals concerned within the crash earlier than turning over medical management to Aurora Fire Rescue, Longshore stated.
